Management strategy of web blight of urdbean

Web blight caused by Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn (Teleomorph Thanatephorus cucumeris Frank) is a most destructive disease of urdbean. Present investigation was undertaken with an objective to develop suitable management practices of web blight pathogen of urdbean. Investigation were carried out by employing eight different combination of two systemic fungicide and one bioagent as seed treatment and foliar sprays. Among the tested combinations, seed treatment with carbendazim 50 WP (2 g/kg seed) + two spray with propiconazole 25 EC (0.1%) at 15 days interval was found most effective in order with 77.11% disease control and increase the gain yield 130.62% over the check.
