Experiments were conducted to test the effectiveness of 12 botanical powders against Sitophilus oryzae, a pest of stored grain attacking PBW 343 variety of wheat. Percent grain weight loss and percent reduction in adult emergence of the pest was recorded to evaluate the extent of damage caused by insects. Overall finding indicate that out of 12 plant products tested Acorus calamus @ 1.5 and 0.75 % w/w was most effective in controlling the population of the pests.
