Abstract

Hanging is a common means of committing suicide in India and it accounts for a considerable number of suicidal deaths in Puducherry. Instantaneous death occurs in cases of hanging. Very rarely the fatal period may be delayed for a few days. In the present case the victim survive in unconscious state for 28 days after suspension.
