Ecofriendly technology for early decomposition of compost from press mud cake, flyash, distillery spent wash and chopped Eichhornia crassipes by bioinoculant Trichoderma viride in T1 (PMC+FA+DSW+ Eichho) and T2 (PMC+FA+DSW+Eichho+Tricho) treatments than control (PMC+FA+Water) were investigated.
Temperature based composting phases in heap of organic biowaste were observed during decomposition. Variations of pH, EC, OC, N.P.K. during decomposition by biodegrading agents have been also observed on 8th, 16th, 24th and 32nd day and its maturity was evaluated by C: N and plant bioassay test. Temperature based phases were observed everyday upto 32 days during decomposition. Trichoderma hastened the decomposition process and improved the quality of biocompost. Seeds of Coriandrum sativum L. cv. Kalmi a spice crop were sown in polybag culture with 5 kg soil + 159 gm biocompost @ 1250 kg/hac during October-November 2004, 05, 06 & 07. The results revealed that chlorophyll content, plant height, phytomass and yield parameters were significantly increased in compost treated soil than control.
