Abstract

The present study is the result of the extensive survey and exploration of the angiospermic flora of the district Ghaziabad. Atotal number of 948 species have been collected. The family Gramineae (Poaceae) with 101 species occupies the first position, Papilionaceae (Fabaceae) with 80 species the second and Compositae (Asteraceae) with 61 speices the third position. There are 7 plants: Lepidium apetalum willd. Astragalus fatmensis, Hochst. ex Blatter, Lotus corniculatus var. corniculatus Baker, Merremia quinquefolia Hall. Lycopus europaeus Linn. Alternanthera philoxeroides Griseb and Eleocharis geniculata (L) Roem. Schult have been reported for the first time from Ghaziabad.
