In present investigation, one hundred three (103) non-heterocystous filamentous cyanobacteria have been encountered from different ecological habitats of Manipur, India, falling under Indo Burma Biodiversity hotspots having acidic properties. These isolates belong to six genera namely, Phormidium (45), Limnothrix (06), Oscillatoria (07), Spirulina (01), Lyngbya (17), Plectonema (27) and deposited to fresh water cyanobacterial repository at IB SD, Imphal, Manipur, India a creation of Department of Biotechnology Govt. of (Ref no.: BT/PR11323/PBD/26/171/2008 dated 31st March, 2009) with accession numbers.
