The fruit size is a major parameter in determining of the economic yield and merchantability. The relative fruit growth shows marked difference in their growth pattern during development. The development of fruits and seeds is completed in 15 days after pollination. The maximum growth in length is observed on 9th day after pollination. The initial growth of the fruits was slow, and then the growth speeded up from a specific point in development. Seed number and seed size were recorded to be directly correlated with fruit growth vis-a-vis economic yield in linseed and sesame plants.
