Eight accessions of Withania somnifera; 2n=48 were explored for the details of 3D somatic karyotype using length and volume of the chromosomes and the chromosome complements. These accessions showed symmetrical karyotype of 1A and IB types and exhibited significant amount of intraspecific karyotype polymorphism
