Intensive explorations have been made during 2007–11 for bryophytes in Guntur district. A total of 20 species belonging to 14 genera and 9 families have been enumerated. Among these liverworts comprise 2 species belonging to 2 genera and 2 families, and mosses comprise 18 species belonging to 12 genera and 7 families.
