Abstract

Utricularia australis R. Br. is earlier known only from Palni Hills, Karnataka, South India and North India especially in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Maharastra, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. It is recorded here for the first time from Eastern Ghats, Andhra Pradesh, India. A detailed description, illustration and photographs are provided here for easy identification.
