Clathrus delicatus Berk. & Broome, popularly known as cage fungus (Phallaceae) was collected from the Dangs, Ahwa and Vansada forest for the first time in August 2014. Subsequently it was also collected from Wilson hill, Dharampur forest and Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary (Sagai forest) in 2015, 2016 and 2017 respectively during the field visit. Present study reports new distribution record for the Clathrus delicatus from Gujarat state and DNA barcoding data is submitted for the first time in BOLD data system (ID KSRF-0015). It was identified by morphological feature and further confirmation was carried out by using molecular methods with its DNA barcoding.
