Study on fresh water diatoms from different habitats of Patna, Bihar, India

The study has been carried out in eleven freshwater ecological niches comprising pond, lake, water logged and river from Patna district of Bihar, India. The present study deals with 22 species belonging to 13 genera of diatoms; viz. Cyclotella Keutzing (1sp.), Synedra Ehrenberg (1 sp.), Fragilaria Lyngbye (1 sp.), Eunotia Ehrenberg (1sp.), Navicula Bory (1 sp.), Pinnularia Ehrenberg (2 sp.), Gyrosigma Hassal (1sp.), Diploneis Ehrenberg (1 sp.), Gomphonema Agardh (5 sp.), Cymbella Agardh (2 sp.), Amphora Ehrenberg (1 sp.), Nitzschia Hassal (4 sp.), Hantzschia Grunow (1 sp.).
