A Wireless Technology has a great benefit nowadays and its popularity increases day after day. This is due to the up-to-date technological advances in Laptops and wireless devices such as Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) etc. As a result of its fastgrowing usage, the wireless technology data rates become higher and this in turn has made its price cheaper. Mobile Ad hoc Networking (MANET) has occupied large space in the world today and a huge number of protocols have been developed. Moreover, MANET is comprised of mobile nodes that exchange data dynamically among them over wireless links. The most significant element of MANET is the Routing Protocols required to control dynamic communication. They are also used to find route for the delivery of data packets to the correct destination.
The major objective of this paper is the evaluation and comparison of different QoS parameters like Delay, Load, Throughput, etc. of diverse MANET routing protocols viz. Optimized Link State Routing Protocol (OLSR)in Proactive Routing Protocols, On-demand Distance Vector (AODV)in Reactive Routing Protocols and Gathering-based Routing Protocol (GRP) in Hybrid Routing Protocols to select the most effective routing protocol.
