Dumping and storing data in local file system using pig

In this paper, we discuss about Big data and the tools we use within. we specifically discuss about the tool called “PIG ”. As BIG DATA relates to production of large amount of data and most of the time storing it in Hadoop distributed file system (HDFS), it is very tedious work to analyse terabytes of data. The purpose of this paper is to provide a tool which can analyse the data. PIG is one of the tools offered by hadoop, which is a high-level data processing language tool, consisting of set of rich data types and operators to execute different operations on these large amounts of data. PIG tool can be used to analyze the data and can also be used to achieve abstraction for Map Reduce(MR). PIG includes a shell called Grunt which is used to perform various operations like filtering and more.
