Serum immunoglobulin levels in camel (Camelus dromedarius) during dehydration and rehydration in winter season

Abstract

The mean values of immunoglobulins (ZST estimates), TSP, albumin and globulin increased during dehydration upto 16th day, but decreased considerably on 24th day of dehydration; however, fall in immunoglobulin and globulin levels was comparatively lesser. The respective values further decreased after rehydration except that of albumin which was recorded to be higher than that on 24th day of dehydration. The A/G ratio was highest on 16th day of dehydration.
