The Escherichia coli strain of serogroup O26 revealed the presence of VT2 gene similar to the VTEC 0157:117 identified PCR using VT2 gene probe product size 478 bp. The haemolytic and E-hly E. coli strains of serogroups O2, O4, O8, O26, O68, O101, O109, Ol11, 0117, Ol 19, 143, O156 did not show the presence of VT2 gene.
