Abstract

The present invastigation was carried out on 360 samples of female genital tract of buffalo –these samples were preserved in 10% formal saline and processed by acetone and benzene technique and stain with H. & E. stain. This condition was observed in one case. Grossly a hard ovoid shaped encapsulated mass was located on the tip of right horn of the uterus. The outer surface was smooth and shining, the cut surface was dull and fleshy having fibers running in different directions. Microscopically tumor cells were long, spindly shaped and elongated nuclei. The characterstic arrangement of chords and interlacing bundles of fibroblast and collagen fibers were seen. The collagen fibers were dense and long. Duplicate sections were stained with Masson's trichrome to reveal collagen fibers.
