The functional activity of macrophages was assessed hy nitro hlue tetrazolium reduction test. The test was conducted at 4 weeks and 8 weeks after the administration of lead acetate 200 ppm in drinking water. The lindillgs indicated a signiticant depression of macrophage functions as evidenced hy reduction in NBT positive cells in lead treated birds at 4 and 8 weeks ill comparison to control.
