Tumours in Poultry

Tumours have emerged as the leading cause of death among various species of animals including poultry with multi-factorial aetiology. Information on types of tumours, their characteristic features along with their prevalence and distribution helps for early diagnosis, prognosis and appropriate therapy. The information related to the occurrence and types of tumours in poultry in various regions of India is not much documented. The present paper is an attempt to provide details from the available literature regarding pattern, occurrence and types of tumours in poultry in India along with some diagnostic approaches.
