Abstract

Antibody titre as detected by microagglutination test in experimental Listeria ivanovii infected mice appeared at 7 DPI and persisted till the end of experiment (35 days) in both (corticosteroid treated and untreated) the infected groups. The maximum titre of 1:32 was observed at 21 DPI in the infected mice untreated with corticosteroid while group given corticosteroid treatment showed maximum titre of 1: 16 at the same interval. A significant (p<0.05) increase was noticed in skin thickness of 2, 4-dinitro-chlorobenzene (DNCB) treated mice at 48 hours post challaenge in both the infected groups.
