Abstract

Effects of feeding Neem seed cake were investigated on humoral and cell mediated immune responses in broiler chickens. Neem seed cake was given to chicks at 0, 5, 10 and 15 percent level in the feed. Neem seed cake feeding enhanced the antibody titre against New Castle disease virus antigen on haemagglutination test and also potentiated the cell mediated immune response as evidenced by increased skin thickness to 2,4-dinitro-chlorobenzene in skin contact sensitivity test.
