Effect of Neem leaf extract administration was studied on cell mediated and humoral immune responses of broiler chickens. Ten percent Neem leaf extract was prepared following boiling of 100 g dried Neem leaves in one litre drinking water for treated chicks. Administration of Neem leaf extract enhanced cell mediated immune response as observed by DTH in term of increased skin thickness to 2,4-dinitro-chlorobenzene in skin contact sensitivity test and enhanced humoral immune response against NOV antigen as detected by indirect ELISA. The present findings indicate that Neem leaf extract have an immunopotentiating effect.
