Abstract

IFNγ, IL-4 and IL-10 response of tuberculosis patients and their healthy contacts was seen after stimulation of their PBMC with M. tuberculosis sonicated antigen. No significant difference was seen in IFNγ and IL-4 production between patients and their healthy contacts. IL-10 production was significantly higher in pulmonary TB patients as compared to their healthy contacts. TNFα release could be correlated with the clinical condition of the patients.
