Abstract

Inclusion Body Hepatits-Hydro Pericardium Syndrome (IBH-HPS), caused by fowl adenovirus serotype 4 is diagnosed at present by conventional techniques like AGPT, ELISA, Inclusion body in the liver section etc. Nucleic acid based diagnosis is very effective for early detection. For detection of IBH-HPS various type of PCR like multiplex, nested set and antigen capture PCR were standardized. Dot blot hybridization was also done with Digoxigenin labeled PCR product of Loop1 region of Hexon gene. These, antigen capture and multiplex PCR were the best for the detection of IBH-HPS.
