Abstract

An experiment was conducted on growing crossbred heifers in which animals were divided into four uniform groups. The animals in I, II, III, and IV group were fed on ad lib green sorghum, sorghum + 0.75 kg concentrate, sorghum + 1.5 kg concentrate and sorghum + 2.75kg concentrate respectively for a month. The blood serum and ramen + feeds ample were collected and analyzed for glucose, total protein and phosphorus the result in dictated that animal consuming higher amount of concentrate has a tendency of higher level of glucose in seamen fluid phosphorus. Glucose content varies with leady Wight of the animal. With the relationship of g = 55.83 + 0.245 × (r = 0.868) (r = 0.75) (n =16). The relationship with age is also positive with on equation of y = 11+0.384× (r = 0.76). The total protein content varies and is poor and in positive relation with glucose with equation of
