Abstract

Studies on the modeling of hexon capsid protein of fowl adenovirus 4 of Indian origin was carried outusing different web based software tools. The PROSITE MOTIF search revealed N-glycosylation site, protein-kinase C phosphorylation site, casein kinase II phosphorylation site, tyrosine kinase phosphorylation site and N-myristoylation site in the hexon protein. It showed 39.5% to 79.6% alignment with different adenovirus hexon proteins. The Swiss model software generated the three-dimensional structure of the hexon protein which appears as a cmpact globular domain. The three-dimensional structural model of the hexon protein has further confirmed the presence of loops, backbone groups, disulphide bridges and other structures, which were predicted upon analysis of sequence data.
