Abstract

Probiotics bifidobacteria have been reported to stimulate the immune system and thus offer the possibility of improving host immune system against pathogens. Aim of the work was to study the effects of bifidobacterial cell wall extracts ans Exopolysacharide(EPS) on splenocytes proliferation and expression of cytokines IFN- and Il-10. Different cell wall extracts taken from bifidobacterium lactis RBL-64, RBL-81.RBL-82 had shown that cell wall had shown the most profound effects on cell proliferation & cytokines production suggesting that it can be used in controlling certain immunopathologies.
