A study on the information-seeking behavior of faculty members at agricultural and veterinary universities in Haryana, Punjab, and Uttarakhand was conducted through a questionnaire. The research findings revealed that the primary information needs of faculty members are academic and research-related. They visit the library to refer to books, journals, magazines, theses and dissertations, reports, and proceedings as their preferred purpose of visiting. Maximum faculty members visit only their own libraries to fulfill their information needs. One hundred eighteen faculty members rated their libraries as excellent. The research also showed that faculty members faced challenges in their day-to-day information searching, such as too much information on the internet, weak searching abilities, lack of time, and some expressing dissatisfaction with needed information not being available in the library. One hundred eighty-six faculty members were motivated to use the library for guiding students’ projects and research scholars.
