Abstract

This study sought to delineate the trajectory and evolution of genome sequencing research from 2014 to 2023. A comprehensive dataset of 11,004 documents was extracted from the Web of Science database and subjected to rigorous analysis. The primary objectives were to identify prolific authors, influential institutions, prominent publishers, key research areas, and frequently employed keywords. Data analysis and visualisation were accomplished using MS Excel and VOSviewer software. The findings illuminate the global landscape of genome sequencing research, highlighting the substantial contributions of various countries and institutions. This analysis provides valuable insights into the current state and future direction of this dynamic field.
