Libraries and information centres, particularly of a research institution, consist of a very special ised collection of information resources and services to meet the information needs of their clientele. IIPR is such an institute that is associated with the research of pulse crops. In this context, an attempt has been made to know the usage of library resources and services by the scientists and research scholars of the IIPR, Kanpur. This study is a questionnaire-based survey of the scientists and research scholars of the IIPR, Kanpur. The results of this study reveal that the majority, 35.0%, of the respondents were using the library once a week, and 83.33% were visiting the library to borrow and return books. Sixty-three point thirty-three percent of the respondents used the OPAC of the library. The majority of the respondents were satisfied to a certain extent with the library resources, library service, library staff’s support, and available library infrastructure of the IIPR library.
