This research examines digital metrics derived from the websites of central universities in the North-India. Various tools were employed to recognise the websites and reach the goals established for this research. Site Web Impact Factor (SWIF) was utilised for the chosen websites of central universities in northern India. This research reveals that ten main university websites were chosen for analysis, and their performance is considered satisfactory. Central University of Himachal Pradesh holds the top position in SWIF compared to all institutions, whereas Indira Gandhi National Open University and University of Delhi boast the highest Google Page ranking scores and top in Indian country rank. Top-ranked universities are more active online and effective in terms of information dissemination. Another significance highlighted by the study is the need to constantly track digital metrics to ensure that the company is at the competitive level. These appraisals could help the institutions to determine their strengths and weaknesses. In addition, standardised webometric tools are used and guarantee comparative results across institutions.
