Abstract

Educational data mining is the one of the important area getting attention in the field of research. Now days, there is a tight competition in the educational field due to the fact that educational institutes are growing day by day in India. The main focus of these institutions is just to fill all the seats of course not quality of the students. Therefore a large number of students drop the course after first year. In this paper, a review of different kind of research in educational data mining using existing data mining for solving various educational data mining tasks, efforts for reducing the rate of students drop out as well as methods to improve the quality of student is presented.
