Abstract

Bluetooth is a popular technology for short range wireless communication. Bluetooth technology is considered as a cheap, reliable, and power efficient replacement of cables for connecting electronic devices. Considering the security aspects of smart phone, Bluetooth is the best choice for virus writer due to its non-directional transmission and automatic way of discovering neighbor nodes. Vulnerabilities in its security protocols are increasing which can be potentially dangerous to the privacy of a user‟s personal information. For studying the virus propagation, in this paper we have taken different characteristics of mobile phones: effects of distribution density, coverage radius of signal, moving velocity, signal strength, and non-uniformity.
