Abstract

A multi-purpose autonomous robot for agricultural practices has been built and presented in this work. Currently, there is a lot of technological advancement happening in the field of agriculture that not only reduces the time consumed, but also reduces the human effort that otherwise used to get wasted due to repetitive agricultural practices. For designing these robots, proper approach regarding agricultural practices and agricultural environment must be considered. The working of the Agrobot is rooted on dimensions of the agricultural field. The prototype of the agricultural robot is developed to perform multiple functions from ploughing, seeding, sprinkling or irrigation to harvesting. The Agrobot is controlled by Arduino Nano, an ATmega microcontroller board, that fetches its power to function from solar panel that make it environment friendly by reducing the use of non-renewable resources and thus causes no pollution as well. The overall perspective is to develop a smarter robot or machine that can work in different types of environment conditions.
