Abstract

A Voltage control of self-excited induction generator using DSP ez2812 controller is designed and implemented in this paper. The proposed system consists of: a) designing of opto-isolator for protection of inverter b) programming in Matlab for inverter operation c) DSP controller coding for voltage control of self-excited induction generator. The experimental results of power generation using wind energy as renewable energy source and its control using DSP ez2812 is presented in this paper. The proposed hardware scheme is presented which includes power generation, voltage and current sensors designing, DSP ez2812 controller programming, its interfacing and opto-isolator designing. The paper also includes inverter and voltage control of self-excited induction generator using power diversion in dump load with the help of IGBT's switching using Pulse width modulation. The proposed scheme helps in hardware designing of control circuitry and its implementation
