Image encryption using chaos and scrambling procedure

Abstract

With the rapid growth of information transaction in electronic form, security of information is becoming very essential in data repository and communication. Because of extensively using images/pictures in industrial growth, it is essential to prevent the classified image information from unapproved access. Because of the fast expansion of digital transmission and multimedia operation, security becomes a crucial concern in data/information transaction process over an expanded system. This paper presents an image encryption algorithm based on CHOS that employs an acceptable component of chaotic sequence relevant to cryptographic properties, like, sensitivity to initial conditions pseudo-random and aperiodicity. After that chaotic matrix is generated by using logistic mapping for scrambling the location of pixels in a digital image.
