Abstract

Shahid Bahonar university of Kerman has some Faculties. Faculty of management and economics which has three departments is one of them. Its departments are such as: Accounting department, Business Administration department, Economic department. Since teaching and research are two major tasks of these departments, they are difficult to measure. To measure the relative efficiency of a set of decision making units (DMUs) that utilize the same inputs to produce the same outputs, data envelopment analysis (DEA) has been demonstrated to be a suitable method. The relative efficiency of each DMU is expressed as the ratio of aggregated outputs to aggregated inputs. In this paper DEA is used to assess the relative efficiency of these departments in 1386 solar year only for ranking on research category.
