Abstract

During the study of a number of chemical methods for extraction of available zinc in soils, no normal and simple relationship between the clay mineralogical composition and the amount of available zinc could be observed. The extractable zinc, however, was much greater in the soils having Mite as predominant clay mineral than in the case of those which were predominantly montmorillonitic.
