Abstract

In a field trial conducted on red sandy loam soil, foliar or soil application of borax at 5.6 to 16.8 kg/ha (5—25 lb/acre) and of sodium molybdate at 0.14 to 0.42 kg/ha (2 -6 oz/acre) or a combination of the two did not alter the alfalfa yields significantly. Application of the nutrients as foliar spray and to soil showed no appreciable variations in the yield of the legume crop.
