Utilisation of Phosphate by Wheat as Affected by the Time of Application in Calcareous Soil

In an investigation to study the effect of phosphate application at different periods on its utilisation and yield response in wheat it was observed that maximum uptake of phosphate occured when applied at 15 and 25 days from the date of sowing. No significant difference, however, was observed in the case of grain yield.
