Application Methods in Microbiology of Soil

With a view to look for direct methods of diagnostics of microbiological processes occurring in the soil, suitable application methods have been worked out so as to allow visual estimation of microbiological activity which can be expressed in terms of quantitative indices. The suggested techniques help to establish the heterotrophic structure of the Ap zone and some specific phenomena taking place in the related soil horizons. The methods which have been successfully employed to study the processes occurring in rice soils, can considerably supplement the conventional procedures of microbiological investigation of the soil.
