Abstract

The availability of exchangeable and water soluble manganese as influenced by various cations namely, Ca++, Mg++, Zn++ and Fe+++ was studied. The application of Ca++ and Mg++ to soil decreased the availability of exchangeable and water soluble manganese, while application of Fe+++ and Zn++ increased the same. The time of incubation had no effect on the availability of manganese.
