Abstract

The effect of soil pH, organic matter, calcium carbonate and clay on available soil copper was studied. Of these factors, organic matter, clay and interaction between them were found important in affecting the copper availability in soils. A significant relationship (r = -0.700) wos observed between plant available copper and clayxorganic carbon There was no response of wheat to soil or foliar application of copper. Different chemical extractants used did not give any idea of plant available copper in soils
