Abstract

Studies on the responsiveness of different soil associations of various stages of development in alluvial and residual (Bundelkhand) soil region to NPK fertilizers were undertaken. There was selective response of nutrients in various soil associations and the responsiveness varied according to the direct relationship with the maturity of the soil. Excessively leached and mature soil associations were found the most responsive. There was universal response from nitrogen and selective response from phosphorus and potassium:
