Abstract

The Bhat soils of Deoria district are poor in total P. It is much richer in Ca-Pin comparison with the other forms of soil phosphorus. Saloid bound P representing the adsorbed P shows highly significant correlation with available P. Clay minerals, viz., Mite, chlorite, kaolinite. alpha quartz and chlorite-montmorillonite were found to be significantly correlated with saloid bound P and organic P, Al-P, Al-P and Fe-P; available P; and Ca-P and organic P respectively. The available P was significantly and positively correlated with Fe-P also,
