Abstract

A field experiment was conducted to study the effect of gypsum @ 5, 10 and 20 tons/ha and manure @ 15 and 30 tons/ha respectively alone or combined together irrigation with bicarbonate rich water. Gypsum and manure increased the yield of wheat (Sonora 64) separately and highest yield of wheat was recorded with 20 tons of gypsum alone. Combined gypsum and manure were less valuable than the highest dose of gypsum alone. Exchangeable sodium decreased by 1.6 to 10.9 per cent white exchangeable calcium increased up to 17.7 per cent.
