Pot culture experiment was conducted in acid soil of district Nainital, U.P. for investigating the effect of Mo, P and S applications on yield and Mo, S and P contents of berseem (Trifolium alexandrinum). Application of Mo, P and S have significantly increased dry matter yield. 50 kg P2O5 plus 0.5 Kg Mo was found to be the best combination. P and Mo contents of Berseem plant were increased significantly by P and Mo application and reduced by S application. Mo × P and Mo × P × S interactions have also shown significant increasing effect on P and Mo contents. S content was increased by S application only. Since Mo×P×S interaction did not show any depressing effect on yield and chemical composition of berseem crop, use of superphosphate along with Mo will be advantageous in berseem cultivation in acidic soil.
