Abstract

Gradient elution in non-equilibrium situation appears to offer promise of use in describing nature of phosphate components of calcium, iron and aluminium to designate phosphate components present in soils. Possibility of various compounds, viz., calcium ammonium phosphate, potassium aluminium phosphate, ammonium aluminium phosphate, potassium taranakite, hydroxy apatite and potassium iron phosphate are indicated in some soils of Rajasthan.
