The fluorescence excitation spectral analysis of fulvic acids obtained by successive extractions from the humin fraction of soil was performed. The different extracts exhibit the fluorescence with excitation maxima at 470 mμ and the spectra are more or less identical in shape. From the chromatographic analysis it was found that the same amino acids and sugars are present in all the fractions although their amounts are not equal. The sorption and desorption of Na-fulvates of successive extractions on and from clay were also studied.
