Effect of Altitude on Organic Matter and Forms of Nitrogen in Soils of Arunachal Pradesh

In soils of Arunachal Pradesh falling under different altitudes, the org. matter and different forms of N increase with an increase in elevation. The C/N ratio of the soils at different elevations varied from 4.9 to 22.2. Soils were found to be rich in org. matter and N at all the elevations.
